Extra Curricular Activities Coupled with Academics, Extra Curricular Activities help in the all round development of students and promotes self-discipline and good communication. A student competition is where an individual or a team competes for a prize where skill is the main predictor of the winner. Student competitions help to bring about a student’s best effort by inspiring creativity and challenging the student to utilize their skills. Teachers incorporate student competitions as part of their curriculum to encourage students to stay on task and bring forward their best work. The activities we initiate here develop the gifted talent in each and every child to be creative and innovative. It also highly motivates them to come out of their shell and excel. By participating in these activities, a student might realize he/ she is interested in something he/ she never knew or was interested in before. It is an excellent way for a teacher to get to know her students, but a fun activity can set a positive tone while helping students get to know their classmates as well.
NAPS values a close working relationship with parents and there are many opportunities for parents to meet with teachers. Parents are welcome to contact the school at anytime prescribed in school diary. Parents can help us by taking a regular close interest in their child’s work, helping if necessary, and encouraging good study habits.
Sporting activities find an important place in our Institution. We recognize that play is one of the most natural and important forms of recreation. It is also the best way to improve one’s health and spirits. Playing sports is fun. It gives our children an opportunity to develop their personality beyond academics and a sense of belonging. Sports help kids develop discipline. They learn to set goals and then work to achieve those goals. They learn that by working hard they can accomplish the things that they want to in their lives. Kids who play sports quickly learn that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. They learn to be a good sport in both situations. It also helps them learn to deal with disappointment and go on. Sports help develop teamwork and leadership skills. Kids quickly learn that they have to work together as a team to win the game. Team sports help build confidence. Sports have many beneficial effects on our children. Sports at NAPS are an enjoyable experience for children. All children should take part in Sports & Games. Children with health problems should give prior intimation to the school and are requested to desist from sports events.
The morning assembly offers a platform for the students to speak before a genial and receptive audience. The inter - faith Morning Prayer teaches students to pray together and to respect the religious faith of those who do not share their own traditions. The assembly is also a time, when the principal interact with the students to enlighten them by speaking to them on values of life. The school assembly at NAPS is an important part of the moral education.

The obvious benefit from learning karate is the improvement of physical health. A little less obvious benefit from learning karate is the improvement of mental health. Karate also builds self esteem and strengthens self confidence. It improves the academic performance by raising one’s level of energy, focus and concentration. Apart from this, it helps to learn and master self defense techniques. A karate student will undoubtedly develop a stronger body and a more positive frame of mind. Karate does not need the use of weapons, men and women of any age can apply it and one can protect them effectively with little natural strength. Children are trained to face defeat with a smile and maintain humility even in victory. Karate is the greatest and the healthiest means of refreshment. They fill one with joy, zeal, vitality and enthusiasm, which helps a person a lot in facing the actual odds of life without yielding to gloom or Pessimism.
School trips and excursions come in all forms and sizes. From half-day drives to the local park to a camping trip out of the city, field trips present a way for teachers to approach knowledge in a completely new way and for kids to have fun while learning. Field trips give children a chance to experience hands-on learning while also being introduced to new environments. The boredom of the classroom may lead some kids to lose interest in a particular subject. This is especially true of difficult subjects, but it can happen with pretty much anything. Also, new environments can provide challenges that allow for more individual learning, while classroom teaching is often generalized and many times targeted to the slowest learners in the group. During field trips, kids have a chance to go the extra step and take on as much information as they want and can. While tests and classroom education may not work so great for some kids, field trips put everybody at the same level, as the learning is experienced, rather than taught.
