Teachers Orientation

      Before the start of the new session, an orientation programme for teachers was organized in the school premises on Sat 21st May 2016. The session began with a prayer. The newly inducted staff was introduced by the Manager Mr. Mohammed Yusuf I. Mr. Basheer Ahmed the Secretary of NAPS spoke about the role of teacher to equip the children with life skill to sustain themselves in the vulnerable world. The events for the current year and the staff duties were assigned accordingly. Mrs. Nazia Kouser the Head Mistress spoke points of the oath, one by one and all behind her. The programme was concluded by the oath.

Evironment Day

Environment Day

      World Environment Day was celebrated on Saturday 4th June 2016 in the school premises, to raise global awareness and to take positive environment actions to protect nature and the planet earth. To add more colors to the day skit was show cased by staff and students in morning assembly on the theme “Environment is Responsibility”. All the staff and students were dressed in green colour to represent the importance of greenery around the world. Planting of plants was done by UPS Students. Speeches were given by the students to raise global awareness.

Science Quiz

Science Quiz

      A Science quiz was conducted on 9th June 2016 in the school ground. Grade 5 to 8 students participated in it. The students were divided into four groups. The names for the groups were 1) Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam 2) Ms. Marie Curie 3) Mr. Albert Einstein 4) Mr. Louis Pasteur. There were four rounds. i.e. Question Answer Round, Visual Round, Choose the Correct Answer Round & Rapid Fire Round. The results are as follows:

  • 1st Position: Mr. Albert Einstein Group
  • 2nd Position: Mr. Louis Pasteur Group
  • 3rd Position: Ms. Marie Curie Group

     All the participants took part in the quiz enthusiastically. The Headmistress Mrs. Nazia Kouser appreciated the efforts of the teachers and the students and motivated to keep them updated.

Eid Celebration

Eid Celebration

      Eid- al- Fitr was celebrated on Thursday 30th June 2016 in our school for Pre- Primary Section, a festival of harmony & brotherhood. All the students were dressed in colorful outfits, various activities were organized and all the children took part in the activities. Importance of Eid- al- Fitr was explained to the students and how to greet their parents, relatives and friends on Eid day. Beautiful greeting cards were made by the children to the parents and the celebration ended by distributing Muffins and Rupees Twenty was given to all the children as a gift of Eid.

      In the Holy month of Ramadan, all Muslims commemorate the revelation of the Quran. They thank Allah for the gift of Holy book that guide them to worship one God. Fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam. Muslims experience nearness with God and with one another during the fasting days. It is a happy month so to say… not a lump month of fasting! Ramadan is also the month when they experience hunger. Ramadan is the month of renewal and forgiveness. Ramadan is the month of celebration and social solidarity. Muslims indeed look forward to this month.

     As the Ramadan month was coming to an end, the school organized the Iftar Party on Friday 1st July 2016 at NAS Convention Hall. The Chief Guests for the day were Mr. Khamar Basha - Corporator of Kushal Nagar and Mr. Kaleem Pasha - Corporator of Nagwara. The distinguished guest were Mr. Syed Hasham Irfan – Director of K.U.I.D.F.C South of Karnataka, Mr. Altaf - Social Worker, Dr. Syed Siddique Ahmed, Moulana Hafeezur Rehman Rashadi - Arabic Lecturer and Mr. Shabeer Ahmed – Social Worker.

     The Programme began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by our Deeniyat Sir - Mr. Firdose Ahmed. The inspiring Speech and Naat by the students on the “Significance of Ramadan” and how can we have the most in this blessed month. The Students of LPS and UPS performed a play with a message. “It is a time for intense awareness of the plight of the poor”. Then came a special time in which dua will be accepted. A Supplication (Prayer) was graced by Moulana Hafeezur Rehman Rashadi for love, brotherhood and prosperity for students, staff, school and the society.

     The Guests, students and staff with their family together ritually ended their fast after Adhan and thereafter Magrib Namaz was performed. The delicious Iftar meal that includes Fruits Salad, Starters, Desserts and Sherbet which was prepared by our magnificent teachers; which was enjoyed greatly by the students. Later evening the flavorful food was served. The entire NAPS family enjoyed the collaborative Iftar.

      At NAPS, we teach our students to share their many material advantages with the wider world. During Ramadan, we had the opportunity to put this into practice. The students and parents from Nursery to Grade-8 worked hard to put a smile on the faces of the less fortunate children. Values like compassion, empathy and humanity are instilled in our children. We also believe that all of us have a responsibility to contribute positively to the society and to our planet. This is reflected through the great work done by our students and parents. The students of Grade 7 and 8 were taken to Muskan - A home for the Blind and Deaf near Tanisandra & Muslim Orphanage in Dickenson Road.

      A visit to an orphanage is a life changing experience as it is filled with emotions & sentiments. When the students entered the home, they were surprised to see more number of children then they had imagined. There were common rooms where the children ranging from ages of 3 to 21 years were seen. The stationary, snacks & grocery which were collected by the students in our school, were distributed among the children. The visit to the orphanage was a fulfilling experience for the children as they came back to school with not only memories but also some valuable lessons.

      Fancy Dress Competition – A grand and gorgeous Fancy Dress competition was held in our school on 3rd August 2016. The children of Pre – Primary actively participated.

The themes were specified for the children like

  • Fruits
  • Vegetables and
  • Professional.

Children enjoyed participating and dressing colorfully. Thanks to parents for great collaboration.

Independence day

Independence Day

      Our school celebrated 70th Independence Day with great patriotic fervor, zeal and zest. The function began with the unfurling of the National Flag by our Secretary Mr. Basheer Ahmed followed by the patriotic renditions sung by the students of UPS which charged up the atmosphere with patriotic spirit. The programme followed by the colorful presentation of cultural events by all the classes.

      The Secretary Mr. Basheer Ahmed conveyed his valuable message to boost the nationalist spirit of the students. Children & staff were dressed up in saffron, white and green colors, to show their love and respect towards our Motherland India. At the end, tri colour sweets were distributed to staff & students. Indeed it was a day of joy, a day of love and respect to our country and makes it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.

      Our school organized a day trip on 24th August 2016 to Innovative Film City Mysore Road Bengaluru. It was carefully planned by the team of Click Organization. They were given in-charge for the safety of the students.

      The students of LPS and UPS had assembled in school ground. At 7:30 a.m. the Click Organization team took the students to their respective buses. The buses left from school at 7:45 a.m. During the journey there was enjoyment like games & music.

     On the way around 9:00 a.m. we stopped to have breakfast which was arranged in a hotel by the team. The students and staff were served with delicious breakfast. After the breakfast the buses left at 10:00 a.m. from the hotel and reached the destination around 11:00 a.m. As soon as we reached there, the students were instructed to form groups, so that teachers can keep an eye on each and every child.

     The students enjoyed watching, Wax Museum, Dinosaur World, Mirror Maze, Tribal Museum, Fossil Museum, Aqua Kingdom, Magic show, Talkies, Ripley’s Museum, Scary House & other attractions.

     Lunch was served at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon. After lunch students went to Water Park. The students were filled with super splash excitement looking at the water games. The swimming pool invited for a thrilling splash. The students spent hours together, splashing, swimming and spraying water and just enjoying themselves. The teachers accompanied the students. The students enjoyed the water slides which was great enthusiasm. The Artificial Beach was vast and exquisite.

     After a while it was time to go back home. Students settled in their respective buses and were given evening snacks. The buses left for school at around 6 p.m. and halted in front of the school premises at around 8:30 p.m. All in all the students had a fun time & returned home happily with sweet memories to cherish and treasure.

Coloring Competition

Colouring Competition

      Coloring is all about creativity. Coloring promotes fine and grass motor skill. A coloring competition was held on Thu 27th Oct 2016. Students of Nursery, LKG and UKG participated in the events.
      The competition began with full excitement and enthusiasm. The little artists had the freedom to select the colors of their choice and use their creativity to try and produce their best work.
     The competition lasted for 30 minutes. Students enjoyed coloring and exhibited fine art work.

Rajyotsava

Rajyotsava Day

      The dawn of 29th October 2016 was welcomed with vibrant colors, Red & Yellow. It was the day to hold our head high and salute our state, Karnataka. In N.A. Public School Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great pomp and grandeur.
      The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. Rizwan. S - CRP. K.B. Sandra Cluster. The program began with unfurling of the State Flag, proceed with our State Anthem. Students enlightened the audience with the importance of Rajyotsava.
     The students of Grade 7 and 8 presented a dance drama titled Onake – Obavva. Group songs and dances of our great state were presented. The program ended with a speech by our Chief Guest which went straight to the students that it is their duty to learn Kannada irrespective of their mother tongue.
     Overall an atmosphere of enjoyment excitement and enthusiasm prevails during the assembly when Kannada Rajyotsava is celebrated

Talents Week

      Young children have an ocean of hidden talent amongst them and it was displayed at “Talents Week” conducted in 2nd of Week Nov 2016. The main reason behind organizing these competitions is to nurture the inborn qualities of students and remove the fear of stage, thus helping them to enhance their confidence level for the overall personality development.

  • The Pre – Primary Students - participated in Singing, Dancing & Cook without Fire
  • The Lower Primary Students - took part in Make Best out of Waste, Dancing, Singing, Cook without Fire and Flower Arrangement
  • The Upper Primary Students - participated in Make Best out of Waste, Singing, Dancing, Cook with Fire and Best Junior Manager.
  • The Competition held for the Parents - were Vegetable Carving, Craft with paper & Hair style.
  • The judges had a tough time in selecting the winners as each performance seemed superior to the previous one. Special thanks to our teachers, parents, and our little ones for making this event successful.

      The Children’s Day at NAPS was celebrated with great pomp & fervor on 14th November 2016. It was a fun filled day for the students. To begin the day an animated movie of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was played. The whole staff and students enjoyed the event together, followed by Fancy Dress Competition that was conducted for LPS and UPS students. The non – participants were allowed to come in colour dress. After that, the students and staff adjoined to have the Cake Cutting Ceremony
      The gathering was addressed by the Secretary Mr. Basheer Ahmed who encourages the children to dream big & work hard. Suraiya Begum, the senior student of NAPS was given the opportunity to cut the cake with all other students. A special cake cutting ceremony made the environment overwhelming. The children enjoyed the mouth – watering cake along with snacks & refreshments.
      Teachers sang, danced & enacted onstage to make the day memorable. Children danced on foot thumbing music and had a great time. The celebration came to an end by distributing gifts and balloons as token of love.

Educational Visit

      For improving the quality of Science learning in non – formal system of education, students of Grade 7 and 8 were taken to the Science Exhibition at Jawaharlal Nehru planetarium on Sat 26th November 2016. It was an eye opening experience, we saw many children from different schools, showcasing a variety of experience successfully. Their explanations illuminated us with a new knowledge of how we can represent our idea verbally.

      On Sat 10th Dec 2016 Karate Belt Exam was conducted in our School premises. 15 students from LPS and UPS had participated in the Exam. Students were trained hard to improve their skill and advance in the ranks. They learned about setting worthy goals and achieving them. The results of Karate Belt Exam are as follows.

  1. Eleven White Belt Students received the Orange Junior Belt.
  2. Four Orange Junior Belt Students received Orange Senior Belt.
  3. One Orange Senior Belt Student received the Blue Belt.

      All the participants performed very well. Our Secretary Mr. Basheer Ahmed presented the Belts and Certificates to the participants and congratulated them

      Kyokushin – Kan International Organized the District Level Kids Championship Karate Tournament 2017 on 8th January 2017. 5 of our students from Grade 5 and 6 participated and

  • Sabha of Grade 5 secured 3rd place in Kata Group A
  • Farhaan Shaik secured 4th place in Kumute Group B

All the participants received Gold medals and certificates by the organization.

      The Sports Day of N.A. Public School was held on Thursday 26th November 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Swamy Vivekananda Ground. The Chief Guest for the morning session was Mr. Srinivasa.T Police Inspector, K G Halli Police Station & Mr. Renny Samuel Dean of Global School of Counseling, Kuthunur for afternoon session. The distinguished guests were Mr. B.V. Venakataraman ECO. North – 3 Bengaluru, Mr. Jerald the Open Badminton Champion, Mr. Rizwan .S CRP KB Sandra Cluster, Mr. Hafeezur Rehman Rashadi, lecturer in Arabic & Mrs. Umme Hani secretary of Royal Public School.

     Students from Pre-Primary, Primary, Upper Primary & Middle Classes actively participated in all the programmes. Parents too took interest and made the program a grand success. The event started with spectacular March Past followed by the invocation song to seek blessing from the almighty. Our Principal Mr. Basheer Ahmed welcomed the gathering thereafter he and the school captain honored our chief guest and distinguished guest by presenting bouquets and momentous as a token of love and appreciation. Our chief guest Mt. Srinivasa .T officially declared the sports meet open and released a dove as the message of harmony & peace, the vice captain of the houses released balloons to symbolizing the vibrant hopes of the sporting student that they were flying high. The sports Captain administered the solemn oath to the house captains and the participants. Then there was the drill display presented by all the classes that kept the spectators spellbound. Full fledge practices; untiring efforts and sweat enabled the students to make the event a grand success.

     Every hurdle and obstacle was crossed by the students keeping their goal in mind. The wonderful Karate & Pyramids display exhibited discipline and hardcore practice of the students. The parents and staff took an active part in parents’ race & staff race. As the Sports Day came to an end, Speedy Waves (Red) House bagged the overall championship followed by Thunder Birds (Green) House and Honey Bunch (Yellow) House. Vote of Thanks was proposed the School Captain & Vice Captain in Arabic and English. Thus another eventful ‘Sports Day’ came to an end when the flags were folded and given to the principal for safe keeping until the next athletic meet.

Students of today are the visionaries and torch bearers of tomorrow;

      School is trying to develop the responsible human beings with leadership qualities. The Investiture Ceremony of the student council was conducted on 30th Oct 2015 with a great pride. This was the most awaited event for the students. The ceremony began with a prayer thereafter the school Principal Mr. Basheer Ahmed presenting badges and administering oath of office to the newly appointed member of student council/ He address the gathering and urged the new student council members to become role models, be infused with the spirit to create a positive influence with their service as leaders, he wanted them to be responsible and dedicated and try to do something good for the school with their innovations. He emphasized the crucial role of the parents in the growth and development of their children. He urged them to encourage their children to be in sync with the school, he reiterated that with the co-operation of the parents and the dedication of the student, the school will be able to scale new heights of excellence. The Investiture Ceremony concluded with the vote of Thanks. Everyone present congratulated the council members and wished them good luck and great success for fruitful year ahead.
